Job Retention & Growth

The GGE program seeks to maximise the job opportunities for electricians through the current global movement to a low carbon economy.

Benefits exist to employees, employers and contractors. As a qualified GGE:

The Employee:

  • increases their employability  with  their expanded skills and qualifications 
  • can add value to the quality and type of work performed in his/her workplace
  • can apply these new skills within their own home which can directly save them money and reduce carbon emissions

The Employer:

  • can reduce operational costs with the implementation of measures taught within the GGE curriculum
  • actively contributes to the reduction of green house emissions which may be tradable in the future
  • opportunities to expand their business and generate new revenue through the new skills of their employees

The Contractor:

Registered Electrical Contractors can apply for the licensed use of the GGE brand. This enables the REC to trade and promote their additional skills and value add to their services.

  • can leverage the GGE accreditation to reposition their business in the growing green market
  • can add value to their existing customers by expanding their available services
  • can gain additional market exposure through the marketing and promotion undertaken by GGE
  • may be able to create an additional income stream through certificates / credits etc
